The story of Rouge River Brewery begins with Jordan Mills, who founded the brewery in 2016 with a passion for bringing craft beer culture to his hometown of Markham. After completing his university studies, Jordan worked in marketing for a large brewery but quickly realized his true passion was in the brewing process itself. Determined to deepen his knowledge, Jordan pursued certification through the prestigious Cicerone program, eventually becoming the youngest ever Advanced Cicerone in 2016.
With his advanced expertise and love for creative brewing, Jordan opened Rouge River Brewery, initially focusing on IPAs and sour beers. His bold, innovative approach quickly set the brewery apart, gaining a loyal following and national recognition.
Over the years, Jordan expanded the brewery’s offerings to include stouts, lagers, and a variety of seasonal beers. His dedication to excellence has earned him several prestigious beer awards:
