From the moment you step onto the museum grounds, you’re greeted by the vibrant colors of fall and the tantalizing aroma of fresh apples. The festival showcases a wide variety of apple-themed treats, including cider.
One of the unique aspects of AppleFest at the Markham Museum is its blend of modern festivities with historical experiences. The museum itself is a living history exhibit, featuring restored buildings and artifacts that provide a glimpse into life in the 19th and early 20th centuries. - The Markham Museum is excited to offer a 500mL Grab n’ Go bottle of fresh-pressed apple cider, along with the traditional 2L bottle. Both sizes will be available for purchase throughout the day while supplies last.

- Family Fun: Hop on the scenic Don Valley North Trolley trackless train, presented by Don Valley North Toyota. Bounce around in the Inflatable and Games Area, get your face painted, and play mini-golf.
- Immersive Historical Experiences: Witness the blacksmith shop, print shop, and textile studio come to life as historical artisans demonstrate their skills.
- Cider Making & Pottery Workshops: Learn the art and science of cider making with live demonstrations, and participate in pottery workshops guided by a skilled potter.
- Hands-On Exhibition Spaces: Explore engaging exhibitions like “A Picture of Markham – The Art of Pat Wheeler,” the reimagined “From the Ground-up” archaeology exhibit, and can’t-miss STEAM-based exhibits “Markham Moves” and “Markham Community Makers.”
