Markham Waxers host U18 AA Ontario Hockey Championships

From Friday April 19th to Sunday 21st, the Markham Waxers will be hosting the best U18 AA hockey teams from around the province in the annual Ontario Hockey Federation Championships. This three-day tournament will see five of the top U18 AA hockey teams in Ontario compete for the title of champions. Watch exciting, fast-paced hockey games featuring young Canadian talent in the great hockey community of Markham. The City of Markham has a track record of producing some exceptional hockey talent that we see in the world’s best leagues today. Some names include Mitch Marner, Steven Stamkos and Jeff Skinner of the NHL. While the games are surely to keep you entertained, Markham also offers a variety of great things to do between the action. From captivating performances at Flato Markham Theatre to amazing shopping at the CF Markville shopping mall, there is something to keep everyone entertained. Many wonderful local restaurants to grab some delicious food are available, such as the Unionville Arms, Joey Markville and The Duchess of Markham. The championship weekend is a great way to support local talent and businesses as the hockey season comes to a close.
