Markham Cycling Tours

Markham Cycling Tours, presented by Aviva

Cycle by yourself or with your family and choose between 6 tour routes ranging from 6.7km to 11km in length. Get your bike tuned up with quick fixes at the Markham Cycles Pop-Up Community Booth every Sunday and Wednesday until August 11th (various locations). Let the kids in on the action with the Children Bike Fun Kits which includes bike decorating materials, safety activity books, bike lights, bells and more!

Main St Unionville Slow Street


Middlefield Rd. Shared Street & Road Closures

WHEN: Every Sunday and Statutory Holiday until September 6th
WHERE: Middlefield Rd between Highglen Ave and Denison St
PRICE: Free

This weekly road closure is the perfect place to for little ones to learn how to bike, or for the rest of us to improve our biking skills. Bring your own bike or borrow from a small selection of short-term loan bikes to enjoy the day getting active! This is also the location of some of the Markham Cycles Pop-Up Community Booth for Bike Quick Fixes (select dates only).

In addition to the extra space for cycling and pedestrians, they are also offering free Drop-In Zumba Classes lead by City of Markham fitness instructors! They happen every Sunday at 10am for 1 hour. Space is first come first serve with all participants needing to keep 3 metres distance between each other. Come dressed for exercise and bring your own water!

Year Round Biking @ Joyride 150 Indoor Bike Park

WHEN: open for Summer Camp, open to the public when Ontario enters Stage 3 of the Reopening plan
WHERE: #1 – 150 Bullock Drive, Markham, ON L3P 1W2

With over 110,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor biking trails and obstacles, Joyride 150 is the place to bike when the weather might not be the sunniest. Summer Camp at Joyride 150 is open for children 5 to 13 years old for riders who want to improve their bike skills. The Boiler Room is open 7 days a week for all your cycling supplies and needs.

With the provincial regulations, Joyride has had to have their doors closed most of the time since March 2020. As part of the Ontario’s Reopening Plan, Joyride 150 has been able to open their doors for Summer Camp this July and will be open to the public when Ontario enters Stage 3 of the Ontario Reopening Plan.
